Questions about Ionic Hair Dryers?

I have somewhat thick curly/wavy hair, will the Conair Ceramic Ionic Hairdryer work? Will it straighten my hair or does it just dry it? I like it straight better, but it takes sooo long. Should i buy one of these, or just get a better straightener?

1. I have that dryer, and I really life it. My hair is normal thickness but its very curly, and sometimes when I blow dry my hair with this dryer, there is no need for me to use my straightener. When its more humid outside, usually I just have to get the ends. Also, this dryer comes with a good diffuser and works well that way, too! I highly recommend it.
