are professional hair dryers worth buying? (please, only hair experts answer)? What are the main differences between regular hair dryers and professional. I believe that professional dryers generally take longer to dry your hair because they are not as strong as regular hair dryers. Please suggest some hair dryers you feel are appropriate. My hair is fine, thin, medium length, curly (but i straighten it), chemically treated.

What are extremely good tools (hair dryers, straighteners) for straightening hair? I have really, really thick curly hair. Are there any professional straighteners and blow dryers that I can use to help make it straighter?
Hair stylists.....Ionic anti-Static 1875 watt Professional Hair dryer, is it any good? They have these hair dryers on sale for 12.95 from 50.00. They are a door buster sale at a professional beauty place. Are these dryers any good, or better than the walmart bought ionic hair dryer? If you know please let me know, If they are then I was thinking these would make great christmas gifts. Thanks a million. P.s. It's a Helen of Troy brand hot tools professional
Where can I buy a true professional hair dryer with 2000 Watts or more and with a real professional salon cord? I am looking to buy an authentic professional hair dryer with a single smooth cord. I live in Miami and I want to find a store online or in Miami where salon professionals buy their hair dryers. I shop at Sally Beauy supply often and I have never seen a true professional one only basic ones. I have gone to Ulta and I have not seen ones with the professional sleek cord that I hear is a sign of a true authentic pofessional dryer.
What are a few of the best hair dryers on the market? I need a new hair dryer, but I don't want to pay a lot for it either. I read something that says going professional can cut your drying time in half.. so anybody recommend a good one you have or have used please? Thanks a lot :)
Blow dryers for frizzy hair? What are some good blow dryers that smooth frizzy hair? My hair gets REALLY frizzy with cheap dryers, so I need a good one. I would use it to dry my hair curly without frizz as well as the occasional straight blowout without frizz. I'm willing to pay up to around $100, so professional dryers are o.k. Right now I'm considering a T3 Professional.... suggestions, please? Thanks!
Which is more damaging to hair, flat Irons of Hair Dryers? If your hair is already damaged? I know that both are bad, but I need to do one or the other to make it look professional. Which is less damaging? Oh, by professional, I meant for my job (or its just a mess), but a professional style outcome isnt bad either : )
Hairdressing Question about Hair Dryers. Need info please..? am a Mobile Hairdresser in the Brisbane Area. I am getting a lot of calls from elderly woman who are after wash and setting lately... I own a professional Stand-Up Hair Dryer for sets, but I find it extremely hard to move it around with me all the time. It's big and heavy. And I don't really wanna go through all this trouble anymore for a few dollars. I have to carry the portable basin as well and that's enough! Is there an alternative to the "heavy Salon Hairdryer" ? I cannot seem to find anything on the net. And I don't want to just use my Hand Blow dryer as this is very unprofessional. Any help is very much appreciated! Thanks!
How to I style my shoulder length hair? OK, here is the scoop: I have one-length hair just past my shoulders. I have bangs, just normal run on the mill bangs. My hair is mostly straight, just a slight wave to it. Medium thickness. It is healthy with little damage. I try to avoid using blow dryers, curling irons, and flat irons because I want to keep it healthy. I only have a little time in the mornings to style my hair. I am an elementary school teacher, and I need a quick, easy professional hair style. I'd like to keep my length so I can clip my hair back on occasion. But as it is, its very boring. Any suggestions for a new hair style or cut?
Elchim 2001 vs. T3 Bespoke Featherweight hair dryers? I'm trying to decide which hair dryer to get. The "Elchim Professional 2001 1800 Watt Classic Hair Dryer" or the "T3 BESPOKE FEATHERWEIGHT HAIR DRYER 83808." Most important is for the hair dryer to be light and not burn my hair. I'm worried about the T3 because I read that it can be as hot as 190 degrees, yet I like the weight. The Elchim sounds great, but is not as light. Any advice? Thanks!
Need a good hair dryer? Currently I have a conair hair dryer that leaves my hair extremelyand poofy, which is incredibly annoying. I need some good recommendations for a new hair dryer. I was looking into the CHI Rocket Professional Hair Dryer but I would still really like to hear from people who have had success with hair dryers. My main goal is to get rid of the frizz-it's the worst! Thanks in advance
Where can I buy a decent hair dryer here in brisbane? Ive been checking sites about hair dryers and they say that ionic ones are the good ones. so ive decided to choose one which was the, Infiti by Conair - Professional Tourmaline Ionic Styler. Model: 213X. It's net price on the website is $52.00USD. Just wondering where i could buy it. Maybe target? Big W? Priceline? Really don't know...
Professional Hair Dressers....? Hello. I am 17 yrs old. I attend a Paul Mitchell Partner school in North Carolina.I am in core. I wont graduate til next year. ( I go in the evenings). Any who.. I am hoping to open my own salon sometime during the following 3 years. I am bored and just wanted to figure out expenses.I only want 2-3 other employees to work with me. I need a list of everything that is needed in a salon from chairs and dryers, flat irons and perm rods to bobby pins and clips...everything! I will look up prices myself. If I start saving for everything now, Ill be ahead of my self financially. I couldnt find a site that listed EVERYTHING needed in a salon..mainly just the equiptment..so maybe someone who owns a salon already could help me out. But anyways, thanks I hope to hear some good answers. God Bless. Im really concerned about who works for me. The question was what ALL will I need...equipment, tools, and stuff like that. I need a list of everything I will need to invest in when it comes time to open a salon.
How can I dry my hair straight? I'm no professional, I don't have all the fancy blow dryers and hair products. But, when it comes to drying my hair, by the time I'm done it's really poofy and just completely everywhere. Are there any tips I could get?!
What kind of hair conditioning treatments is there that I can get done at a hairdressers? My hair is in SUCH bad condition because of straighteners and blow dryers so I was wondering, what kind of condidtioning treatments is there I can get done by a professional? What is the treatment called What exactly does it involve. etc please give me the most information that you can
A few hair care questions - professional stylists only please!? I have a few questions about hair care. First of all, I've heard that supermarket brands of shampoo (Aussie, Pantene, Herbal Essences, etc.) are really bad for your hair, so I was wondering if someone could suggest a good quality shampoo for my hair type. I've heard a lot about Pureology, but I would only be willing to pay that much for it if it really gave AMAZING results. (Like movie-star results. Seriously.) I have extremely thick, medium-length, naturally wavy/curly hair. I like to wear it straight most of the time so I use a LOT of heat for styling (blow dryer and straightener about every other day). Are there any products that can help protect my hair from heat damage and split ends? Also, I was wondering about blow dryers. There are a lot of different types out there, but does it *really* make a difference what kind you use? I don't really see how it could, seeing as heat is heat. But if it does matter, please recommend a good quality dryer as well. Thank you for your help!
Which hair dryer do you prefer? http://infiniti.conair.com/catalog/category/hair-dryers-9/product/infiniti-cord-keeper-by-conair-tourmaline-ceramic-ionic-hair-styler-223f-68 or http://infiniti.conair.com/catalog/category/hair-dryers-9/product/infiniti-by-conair-professional-tourmaline-ceramic-ionic-styler-213x-17 ? The first has a retractable cord, which is nice, but I read a lot of positive amazon reviews on the second and the amazon reviews on the first seemed to focus on the gimmick rather than the drying quality. I was gifted with the first, with the option of exchanging it for the second, and quick drying and non-frizzy hair are my top priorities. and why? I'm not convinced of either.
Difference of hairdryers? When I look on the ULTA website, there are some hairdryers that are just well... hairdryers. But some of them say "professional" in the title of the hairdryer. Is there really a difference in the way the "professional" hair dryers make your hair dry compared to just an everyday hairdryer that you could buy anywhere? (Aside from the fact that it says the word professional in it.)

If someone opened a Professional Dog Bathing Business in home would you...? I have worked with animals my entire life, from vets offices to grooming salons and Im thinking about eventually opening a Dog Bathing Business in my home. not a grooming business no body hair will be cut. From my past jobs, I know there is a market for this, but im wanting to know if YOU would take your dog to a in home salon. I have noticed over the years, that most places are Quantity driven and not Quality. Tons of kennels, noise, and stress. Its not personal anymore and i want to change this in my area. Sparing no expense. Im thinking about converting my basement into a fully functional bathing room. with the best equipment from the hydrosurge bathing system, to a stainless steal professional tub with ramp, about 10 kennels, velocity dryers, kennel driers, the works. Offering all services that most well know salons offer in their bathing packages, for at least 10% less than the competition. so what i want to know is if you the customer would take advantage of this service if there was one around you. I want this to be a professional quality driven business, im not in it for the money at all. so wold you use this? what would you want to change about the places you have locally? any complaints? any things you love about the local salons? I would love any and all opinions on this. I have worked in many grooming salons as a bather, not a groomer, i have not gotten certified for that yet, and is something i may do, but for now, i just enjoy doing what i do. I would include Nail trims, Nail Grinding, A low shed package, Sanitary/Runway shaves, Paw pads, ear cleaning and plucking ear hair, anal gland expressions, customized shampoo according to the dogs skin type, de matting (for minor matting).. pretty much everything except cutting the body hair. As for the 10% thing, i was thinking more about similar or close prices to the competition but offering a lot more in the packages for just around the same price. I think if its a low stress environment, then every thing is much easier to do, and therefore you should get WAY more quality and stuff for the price. And as i said before, everything would be top of the line from the tubs to the shampoo, someone asked where i was getting the money for this, and answer to that is, my inheritance i got last year. joanplus4dogs: All the bather positions i have held included just washing bath dogs, the groomers washed their own dogs, and i would have anywhere from 5-12 bath dogs a day. I have contacts and request dogs from previous jobs, so i would have a started client base for bath dogs. I would offer express services for older dogs, higher stress dogs, and dogs with heath issues. My last job, there were about 6 groomers in the shop at one time and 2 bathers.. and you were responsible for your own dogs, no help with the difficult ones, so i know i can handle it, and iv learned ways to help calm difficult dogs, its all about patients, and being in a quieter low stress environment would help significantly. And i dont plan on doing all of this now, because of the economy, but it wont be like this forever, and that is why im planing for it now, so i can have all the licenses and permits in order. I do agree i would get a larger client base if i did cut hair, but, I dont want to do that as of now.

Hi, im wondering if using a top quality professional blow dryer makes a difference? Does it make a difference between a cheap blow dryer and a professional blow dryer, if so, what makes it different and what is the out come, what does it do different for your hair, Does anyone have any recommendations on good blow dryers and what your result with that blow dryer are, thanks lol thanks!
will this routine help my hair grow longer? Okay. I have usually spent the majority of my school year blow drying flat ironing my hair every week, exept for the holidays, to make it look presentable so that I would not have to deal with my natural hair which is thick, naturally curly from the root to almost the end of my shoulder length hair, it's actually one inch past my shoulders. Since it is the summer, I plan to give my hair a break from both the flat ironers and blow dryers. Everytime I wash my hair, I put conditioner in my hair and leave it in from 20 minutes to an hour, depending on if I forget it's in there. I use suave professionals shampoo and conditioner. After that, I wash it out and put any type of wrap lotion in it, but now I am using foam wrap lotion and I thoroughly put it in my hair then comb it out and put it in a ponytail and braid the ponytail part of my hair. I let it dry for like two days and then I put coconut oil grease on it. I don't use any gel unless I have to. I also massage my scalp a little everytime I put shampoo in my hair and occasionally whenever I think about it. And I usually do this routine until the week before school starts, which is at the beginning of august. But since I'm in college, I start on august 23. Do you think that this routine that I do during the summer will grow my hair or make it healthier? This is the second year that I have done this and I was just trying to see has anyone else done something similar to this. I want to at least let it grow two inches. If you have anymore ways to make my hair healthier besides getting them trimmed. I usually go to the beauty shop every two months to get them trimmed but I have been off schedule so now it's every four months until I can get back on track.

Is it fair to charge salon prices at your house even though you...? ...are no longer working out of one? An acquaintance of mine used to work in a salon where she would do my hair (color highlights and cut for long hair) and charge salon prices. The salon closed and she has been doing freelance work for her regular clients out of her home. Is it proper to charge the same rate as if you were working in a salon even though you are not working with the same professional resources- such as chair, shampoo sinks, and large blow dryers? I tend to think less should be charged than an equal rate. What do you think? This is a modern, and trendy salon. This is a modern, and trendy salon. They also serve you beverages and have a spa as other services.

Does anyone know of a good hair dryer? Everytime I use my so called professional dryer, the comb fly's across the room. My hair is not tangled, the comb just fly's away during normal drying. Does anyone know of a hairdryer (brand) that is quality enough that the comb won't fly away when I am drying my hair? For those folks who can't seem to understand what I mean. I am saying the comb attachment comes off while I am drying my hair. I need a good quality hair dryer. Not bad quality answers.

What can I do with my hair? My hair is light brown and somewhere between curly and straight, and yet not wavy...It's down to about my collarbone, I have bangs, and the only professional hair tools I have access to are: Hair Dryer, Curler, Hairbrush, Shampoo and Conditioner. Are there any simple tricks I can use to do something nice with my hair?
Hairdryer 2000 watts....will this damage my hair?? I asked my mom for a professional hair dryer because I love doing my hair and the hairdryers from Walmart that are 1875 watts really dry it out....however, when my mom went to purchase a really nice hairdryer, someone told her to get a hairdryer for 2000 watts and that it wouldn't dry my hair out because it takes less time to dry......does this sound right?? I like to dry my hair by using a large round brush.....thank you!

Relaxed Hair Care Regimen...What flat Iron should I use? So, I will be leaving for college in August as a freshmen, and it's about time I get used to knowing how to do my own hair ( I can't spend $10 every week for a doobie). I have thick relaxed neck length hair. What's the best flat iron out there on the market. I heard the Chi and Sedu were good ( I don't care about the price). What are the best deep conditioners, protein conditioners, and moisturizers for relaxed hair? And whats a good professional hair dryer? And how can I minimize breakage.
